The count down to the big game slated for this Sunday at Rufaro stadium has begun, and the training has since intensified ahead of the bragging rights clash against Dynamos F.C. Under the guidance of Erol Akbay and Melusi Mabaleka, the boys are under thorough training as they prepare for a must win match. Everyone is in high spirit and very optimistic about the outcome of the coming fixture.
Erol Akbay has never lost to Dynamos in any league match, only lost in the boardroom. He made sure to create a double against Dynamos, ending Dynamos nine- year dominance over Bosso. He has confirmed the morale is high in the team ahead of the big game and that they spent yesterday’s training session working on strikers.
“These kind of big games are important to everyone, the club, coach’s players and fans. The attitude of the players on match day will decide who will win the game. This week you will see a different Highlanders because the player’s really surprised me at training today, their attitude was something else and they showed that they want to play. We spend the better part working on strikers and in seven minutes they had scored two goals. I know that was a training, but looking at the player’s attitude, I think if they take it to Harare on Sunday and we will get a positive result,” said Akbay.
Meanwhile the Dutch gaffer says he articulated that Dynamos was more organized than Bosso when he was angry after a disappointing result against Chapungu last week at Hartsfield.
“I said those things when l was pissed off, when we had lost. They said when one is pissed off he must not say certain things and l was pissed off that day after losing,” said the Dutch coach yesterday at a press conference at the club offices.
